IPTL has requisite skilled and experienced manpower to handle the power trading operations. IPTL aims to buy and sell the energy from various IPPs, CPPs, Distribution licensees and Open Access Users through Long Term and Short term agreements.

Information about the trading license.
To promote optimum utilization of resources and to provide the power in deficit areas, Electricity Act 2003 recognised "Power Trading" as a distinct licensed activity to facilitate the energy flows from power-surplus to power-deficit regions. IPTL is new growing entity in Power trading business. The company has been awarded trading license by CERC as category “C” trader.

IPTL offers following services to provide help in power trading transactions:

• Purchases of Power from CPPs, IPPs, Merchant Power Plants, Renewal energy sources on Short term and Long term basis.
• Sell/Provide the Power to various State utilities and Open Access Users on long term and short term basis.
• Taking the permission of open access and scheduling of power from various State Load Despatch Centres and Regional Load despatch centres.
• Control and watch on day to day schedule of generators and buyers.
• Purchase and sell of power on day-ahead basis.
• Settlement of Bills of energy charges and ensures timely payments to suppliers.
• Provide Payment security to energy suppliers.
• Help in settlement of UI charges applicable as per the guidelines of CERC and various state regulatory authorities under ABT Mechanism.
• IPTL offers help to its customer to trade the power through Energy Exchange on day ahead basis.

Indrajit Power Technology Pvt. Ltd. (IPTPL) is having valid licence for trading of Electricity from Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). IPTPL is authorized to trade 500 Million Units per year.

M/s. IPTPL is having tie-up with M/s. Indrajit Power Pvt. Ltd. (IPPL), Wardha to buy and sell surplus power to Grid. Presently, we are working to trade more 100 Million units for the year 2009-10.

M/s. IPTPL is also taking initiative to tie-up with upcoming power plants to tap the surplus power availability.
